Leukemia Area
Leukemia Area is home to cats living with Feline Leukemia. Because the virus can be spread through saliva, such as through grooming or sharing food and water bowls, we take extra precautions to keep everyone safe. The clear plastic barriers help prevent accidental contact with other cats, even though the cats throughout the sanctuary are vaccinated against the virus. This area is generally closed to visitors, but our volunteers spend plenty of time with these cats to ensure they receive lots of love and attention.
