Welcome to Corner House, one of the sanctuary’s introduction areas for new arrivals. When cats first come to the sanctuary, they spend four to six weeks here while receiving their vaccinations and becoming comfortable in their new surroundings. The spacious cages are large enough for volunteers to sit inside with the cats, helping them build trust and adjust to life at the sanctuary. Once the cats are ready, the cage doors are opened and they are free to choose where they’d like to live. Some remain nearby, even sleeping on top of the cages, while others explore and settle elsewhere in the sanctuary. Corner House was renovated through donations made in memory of five-year-old Connor, whose family chose to support the sanctuary in his honour.
